Lil Wayne shades Kendrick Lamar after being snubbed for Super Bowl halftime

Lil Wayne isn’t holding again on his emotions about Kendrick Lamar being chosen over him.
In a brand new Rolling Stone cowl story revealed April 17, the Grammy-winning rapper made it clear he’s performed with the NFL after being handed over for the 2025 Halftime Present in his hometown of New Orleans.
“They stole that feeling,” he stated. “I don’t need to do it. It was excellent.”
Again in September, the NFL introduced Kendrick would headline the Halftime Present at Caesars Superdome, a call that left Wayne deeply “harm.”
Now, he’s shutting the door on ever performing on the Huge Recreation — and he didn’t even trouble watching Lamar’s set.
As an alternative, he says he performed pool with Lil Twist and stepped out for a smoke.
“There was nothing that made me need to go inside and see what was happening,” Wayne shared.
He added that whereas he holds no private grudges towards Dot, he nonetheless felt the present lacked one thing: “They coulda had some music. However as an alternative they bought rappin’… They f***ed up.”
Wayne admitted he initially believed he was destined for that stage, which made the snub sting much more.
“I blame myself for not being mentally ready for a letdown,” he stated in an Instagram video on the time. “I assumed there was nothing higher than that spot… so it harm.”
