Jennifer Lopez and Edward James Olmos are reuniting on display practically three many years after their iconic roles within the 1997 biopic Selena.
Lopez, 55, introduced on Instagram that Olmos, 78, is becoming a member of her within the upcoming Netflix rom-com Workplace Romance.
Lopez shared a heartfelt publish, writing, “From Selena to now, this journey has come full circle…SWIPE to see the massive information. We’re thrilled to welcome the unimaginable Edward James Olmos to Workplace Romance!”
The publish included a carousel of pictures showcasing Lopez and Olmos embracing, each from Selena and Workplace Romance.
Lopez’s breakout function as Selena Quintanilla-Pérez within the 1997 biopic marked a pivotal second in her profession.
In a 2022 Instagram publish celebrating the movie’s twenty fifth anniversary, Lopez mirrored on the importance of the function. “What a really special occasion,” she wrote. “As we speak we have fun and honor Selena’s legacy and music.”
The Atlas star continued, “This film means a lot to me … Selena and her household imply a lot to me, and I used to be so fortunate to be chosen to play her. I will always remember this time in my life and it is an honor as an artist to have been a part of the magic that’s this film.”
In Workplace Romance, Lopez will star alongside Brett Goldstein, with whom she’s going to play a pushed government and her charismatic colleague, respectively. The movie, which doesn’t but have an official launch date, might be produced by Lopez and her longtime supervisor Benny Medina.
