The White Lotus actress took to Instagram on Tuesday to handle paparazzi photographs of her crying in South London, simply days after calling out Saturday Evening Dwell for mocking her look.
“I really wasn’t crying about something that the papers made out,” she wrote, including that the emotional second had nothing to do with SNL.
“I used to be crying about… one thing fully unrelated,” she clarified.
The 31-year-old had been noticed leaning on her buddy Ralph Davis — her Movie Membership co-writer — whereas visibly upset. Given the timing, many assumed the tears had been linked to SNL’s “The White Potus” sketch, the place comic Sarah Sherman donned exaggerated faux enamel to parody Wooden’s character, Chelsea.
